Strings don’t last forever. Even if they don’t break, they lose tension and elasticity with every session - a process known as string creep. As tension drops, the response of the racket changes. You lose the crisp feedback that tells you where the ball is on the strings. Control becomes less predictable. You start working harder to produce the same shots.

The standard recommendation is to restring as many times per year as you play per week. If you play twice a week, restring twice a year as a minimum. Competitive players and those who hit hard typically need more frequent restrings.

Two electronic stringing machines

We string on two electronic machines, not manual ones. Electronic machines maintain constant pull tension throughout the stringing process, which means more precise results and less string creep over time. It’s a significant difference in quality that most players notice in how long a fresh restring holds its tension.

UKRSA and ERSA certified technicians

All our racket technicians are certified with both the UK Racket Stringing Association (UKRSA) and the European Racket Stringing Association (ERSA). We are the only shop in Enfield with both certifications.

That means every restring is carried out to a professional standard - correct pre-stretching, accurate tension, proper finishing. Not just pulled tight and handed back.

String tension testing

Not sure what tension your current strings are at? We can check using a Dynamic String Tension Computer, which measures the current tension in any frame. Useful if you want to replicate a setup you’ve been happy with, or if you’re trying to diagnose why your racket doesn’t feel quite right.
